Who We Are
Our Mission
Welcome to the NWSS Music Auxiliary.
We are part of a music community supporting hundreds of students—in concert bands, jazz bands, jazz and chamber choirs, guitar classes, a string orchestra and music composition technology classes—along with teachers, parents, school administrators, music professionals and interested community members.
Students always fill the NWSS band rooms, not just to attend classes but to hang out, practice, improvise, create, problem solve, collaborate, mentor and have fun.
Extraordinary Experiences
You can experience the camaraderie among the teachers and students, see how they engage each other and express their obvious mutual respect.
When you volunteer, you get the privilege of seeing the students thrive. Over their four years at NWSS, they grow into positive, confident leaders and mentors. After they graduate, their love of music and the arts continues to enrich their lives and the lives of those around them.

We recognize and acknowledge the Qayqayt First Nation, as well as all Coast Salish peoples, on whose traditional and unceded territories we live, we learn, we play and we do our work.
